Good preparation and several light coats will give a cleaner result than one heavy application. Always work in a clean, dry and well-ventilated area and follow the instructions supplied with your product.

1. Confirm the colour

Check the product paint code against the vehicle label. Shake or stir the paint thoroughly and test it in an inconspicuous area.

2. Prepare the repair

Wash and dry the area, remove wax and grease, and carefully remove loose paint or rust. Use primer first where bare metal or plastic requires it.

3. Apply the colour

Build coverage with thin, controlled coats. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next.

Touch-up pen

Use the fine tip for stone chips and narrow scratches. Avoid flooding the damaged area.

Touch-up bottle

Use the brush for slightly wider chips and scratches. Wipe excess paint from the brush before application.

Aerosol

Mask the surrounding area, shake the can thoroughly and spray light overlapping coats from a consistent distance. Test the spray pattern first.

4. Finish and cure

Apply lacquer where the paint system requires it. Allow the repair to harden fully before washing, polishing or levelling the surface.
